Karina Givargisoff

Fashion industry vet Karina Givargisoff can now add Hall of Femme honoree to her mile-long list of achievements. Over the course of her illustrious career, Karina has worked as editor for The Face as well as international editions of ELLE and Vogue. She is also the founder and editor in chief of Mission, the first and only fashion philanthropic interactive experiential media platform — each bi-annual issue of Mission magazine is devoted to a particular cause, with a percentage of profits going toward it. Karina was nominated for the Hall of Femme by Rosario B. Casas, who gushed about the “huge impact” Karina is making by “working with brands and talking to the younger generations in a way that can move them to be changemakers and build a better world.”

“Mission aims to engage socially conscious people and companies through the lens of fashion to help those in need,” says Karina, who was inspired to build the brand in 2014 while processing the pain of a friend’s breast cancer diagnosis. “Having witnessed a person so dear to me suffer with an awful illness, my mindset has shifted permanently. Now my overwhelming question is: ‘What can I do?’”
