Rosie Mangiarotti
“I believe that serving others and leaving the world a better place than how you found it is achieving success. If you can find a way to do this in your everyday life, do it.”
Rosie Mangiarotti is the founder and CEO of Perkies, a company that creates innovative undergarments for women. Its signature product is the Perkies Sticky Bra, the only sticky backless and strapless bra with replacement adhesives. Rosie came up with the concept during a college entrepreneurship course at Brown University, and launched the brand after graduating in 2018. She made a promise to herself to “incorporate a broader philanthropic mission” — thus, Perkies is dedicated to sustainability, inclusivity, and empowering women to feel confident, while also donating 5 percent of online sales to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and becoming a go-to brand for the survivor community.
“Some people told me to wait until I had more sales before donating any percentage of sales, but I wanted to make a difference right from the start,” says Rosie. The Hall of Femme honoree has been on the grind ever since, and doesn’t take her work for granted. “I am not in the ‘bra business,’ but the business of making women look and feel their best,” Rosie says. “Giving women this confidence is what gets me out of bed in the morning.”
