Solonje Burnett

Solonje Burnett begins the day with a hippie speedball of matcha + 1:1 CBD/THC joint coupled with light yoga or meditation. As a first generation Caribbean-American, she is dedicated to elevating the marginalized global majority in the cannabis industry–and beyond. She is a consultant, creator, breathwork guide, speaker and the cofounder and CEO of Humble Bloom, the leading New York-based cannabis culture brand focused on consciously curating inclusive, intersectional communities with the goal of crafting an equitable, sustainable industry for all. Solonje has an extensive background in public speaking, nonprofit fundraising + marketing, leading startups, and talent buying. Much of HB strategy is inspired by Solonje's experience in workplace culture, strategy  and design, cultural programming, executive event production spanning luxe leadership retreats to festivals, and DEI consulting with brands like Google, Bloomberg, Afropunk, Intersectional Environmentalist, Databricks, Summit Series, and Soho House.

She uplifts other women “by doing the work and representing in an industry that doesn't reflect us,” she said, “amplifying femmes (especially WOC), plugging them into opportunities rather than gatekeeping, and celebrating our wins.”

She is an advisor for Frequency, CRUDE, the Virtue Project, Excelsior College and performs with the creative protest group Resistance Revival Chorus. She has been featured in Marie Claire, Forbes, High Times, Instyle, Refinery29, Black Enterprise, Atmos, Well+Good and VICE.
