Adrianne Benzion

Adrianne Benzion is an award-winning art director, creative force and “true Capricorn” who currently serves as Associate Creative Director at Deutsch LA. She is also the founder of Los Angeles-based Uproar Ice Cream, a vegan, dairy-free, nut-free ice cream brand that views joy as a form of rebellion. “I absolutely love coming up with new flavors,” Adrianne says. “I can't wait for the day when someone else will handle making the ice cream for sales and I just get to putter away in the kitchen testing wild combinations.”

The Hall of Femme honoree was nominated by Lis Best, who praises her for “making the joy of seriously delicious ice cream accessible to people with allergies, in such a cool way.” She also shouts-out Adrianne’s commitment to supporting abortion access as part of her business model — Uproar uplifts and protects women’s rights by donating tips and 50 percent of “Peppermint Patty Chocolate” sales to The National Network of Abortion Funds. “We aspire to help many more women in our community as we continue to grow,” Adrianne says.

Storytelling is her superpower and creativity is what gets her out of bed in the morning. So how does Adrianne define her success? “As a Capricorn this [answer] had always been ‘reaching the top of the peak’ but as I've gotten older I find it's more nuanced,” she explains. “Can I do that and live a balanced life? Am I able to exercise, take care of myself, and spend time with my partner, family, and friends? To me, that is the ultimate success.”
