Davida Nemeroff

Founder and Owner of Night Gallery, November "Hall of Femme" honoree Davida Nemeroff is shaking up the traditional LA art gallery scene. Originally known for its unusual business hours (10pm to 2am), Night Gallery is all about "support - of the patrons, artists, staff, and LA community, setting it apart from other galleries featuring similar contemporary artists."

Night Gallery celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2020, reflecting on the growth and success Davida and her team have made throughout the past decade. Night Gallery’s roster includes a range of emerging, mid-career, and established artists, including Mira Dancy, Samara Golden, Tomashi Jackson, Robert Nava, Claire Tabouret, and Kandis Williams, among others.

Hailing from Montreal, Davida moved to the United States to pursue her Masters in Fine Arts from Columbia, and then used the remainder of her one-year visa to move to Los Angeles. About six months into her west coast adventure, Davida opened Night Gallery in 2010. The main goal in establishing the gallery was to be a space for artists to come together and connect in an informal way. With the words “creative” and “social” at the forefront of Night Gallery’s mission, it quickly became a hot-spot for artists in Los Angeles to gather.

Davida is also committed to supporting Planned Parenthood; she is the co-founder of Sexy Beast, which holds events and houses creative collaborations benefiting Planned Parenthood LA.

Through her mission to create a safe-space for artists to connect and support each other within the LA art scene, Davida has created a wonderful team and community that continues to push this mission forward. With support at the heart of everything she does, Davida is a true change-maker in the LA art scene.
