Jennifer Reichardt

You may know Hall of Femme honoree Jennifer Reichardt by another name: “Duck Daughter.” Her father is famously a fourth-generation duck farmer in the Bay Area, and in 2016, Jennifer joined the family business full time as COO. That same year, she launched small-production Raft Wines using organically farmed grapes from across California. The name describes both a community of waterfowl (like ducks!) and the community of friends, family, and local merchants that keep Jennifer afloat. “I want Raft wines to be inclusive. There is something for everybody,” she says. “You can open my wines on a Wednesday night and not feel like you are breaking the bank.”

Jennifer was named one of Wine Enthusiast’s 40 Tastemakers Under 40, and for great reason: not only did she aid rebuilding efforts after the wine country fires of 2017, but she remains vocal about the challenges that women and millennials face in the industry. In 2020, after a particularly magical visit to Lodi’s Stampede Vineyard, Jennifer partnered with fellow HOF honoree Sara Morgenstern to found Little Trouble Wine Co. According to the pair, “Our goal is to make wines that highlight the fantastic vineyards we are privileged to work with.”
