Kate Green

No one knows the LA dining scene like Kate Green – but it wasn’t always that way. After graduating from San Diego Mesa College with a degree in communications and public relations in 2006, she thought she’d go into music marketing or modeling, but ended up with a host job in the Mozza Restaurant Group. For the next decade, she worked her way up to Director of Communications for Mozza Restaurant Group, working closely with founder and chef Nancy Silverton. She also hosted Table Setting, a Tastemade podcast,

“I think my strengths are, first and foremost, communication and people. I’m a people person and I always have been,” Kate said in a 2020 interview with Eater. I’m a connector, a mover, and a shaker in that sense. I think it’s a strength in my position to have a finger on the pulse of where things are in the restaurant industry and keep pushing forward on that note.”

After stepping away from that role in 2020, Kate is now using her vast hospitality knowledge and love of wine to build strategic partnerships for LuckySomm, an online wine shop founded by Chris Hoel, former sommelier for The French Laundry. LuckySomm’s team of expert somms curate unique wines - the kind they drink - that are delivered right to customers’ doorsteps.
