Kathryn Minshew
“Career is so deeply personal, and I love being able to impact something that is core to many people's lives.”
Kathryn Minshew is founder and CEO of The Muse, a career platform used by over 75 million people to find jobs at companies whose people, benefits and values align with their unique professional needs. Under her leadership The Muse has pioneered the concept of values-based job search and was recently named one of Fast Company's 50 Most Innovative Companies in the World. Before founding The Muse, the Hall of Femme honoree was a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company, and also worked on vaccine introduction and healthcare infrastructure in Rwanda and Malawi with the Clinton Health Access Initiative. Her first book, The New Rules of Work: The Muse Playbook for Navigating Your Career was a Wall Street Journal national bestseller.
For Kathryn, success is being able to have a real impact on the world, while living life the way you want. Part of her impact is made by mentoring, investing in and supporting other women — especially female entrepreneurs. “I know how hard it can be in the trenches, so I do my best to dedicate some time every month to sharing my lessons learned, making introductions and just being fearlessly honest about the good, bad and ugly of it all so no one feels alone,” says Kathryn. “I truly believe the industry can and should be different, and I get a lot of motivation out of making it so!”
