Kayla Castaneda

Kayla Castañeda is the CEO and founder of Agua Bonita, a line of award-winning, read-to-drink aguas frescas inspired by her Latin heritage. Hailing from California’s Central Valley, Kayla is the descendant of migrant farm workers and has gained notoriety by founding the first Latina-owned company in her industry to raise more than $2 million in investment capital. “My work is born from my values — quality, community, and tradition,” says Kayla, who cultivates her motivation from her family and their story. She makes sure to pass those values on to other women by “amplifying their work, doing business with them, and sharing resources.”

Since Kayla launched Agua Bonita in July 2020, the Hall of Femme honoree has become a nationally recognized public speaker, Forbes 30 Under 30 Class of 2022 Honoree, and Tory Burch Foundation Fellow. She credits the success with her ability to work on something she’s passionate about — and doing so on her own terms. “I love that our work gets to be part of so many fun moments that other people are experiencing, with our products included,” Kayla says.
