Laura Franceschini
Laura Franceschini has worked at the intersection of business and environmental issues for more than 15 years, and as Google’s Global Sustainability Strategy and Operations; Lead for Reporting, she drives development and implementation of the company’s cross-functional sustainability strategy and oversaw its first-ever sustainability bond report. “I have the privilege of working for a company with immense potential for global impact at scale, which has set ambitious sustainability goals that I’m able to contribute towards,” says Laura.
The Hall of Femme honoree was nominated by Lis Best, who noted Laura’s wealth of knowledge and praised her for “frequently and generously” sharing dream roles and sustainability updates with her many LinkedIn followers. “I’m incredibly grateful for the women that have made time to speak with and mentor me throughout my career,” Laura says. “I pay it forward through coffee chats and 1:1 mentoring.”
Laura previously led sustainability programs for Stantec and the Yale Center for Business and the Environment, and co-founded the Net Impact Edmonton chapter in her native Canada. Her passion lies in helping to build a more sustainable and equitable world — and as a self-professed “travel addict,” she also loves to get out and see it herself.
