Mary Margaret McCamic

Mary Margaret McCamic is a Master of Wine and co-founder of Wine Unify, a nonprofit organization that champions diversity and inclusion in the wine industry. The Napa-based wine lover got her start in wine sales and education, and has experience in marketing, writing, and developing wine-infused curriculum for professionals and consumers. As a Master of Wine, Mary Margaret was trained to objectively blind taste, identify, and analyze wines from all over the world.

The Hall of Femme honoree is “deeply invested in fostering education among aspiring wine students,” and established the George T. Gamblin Memorial Scholarship in honor of her late father. In 2020, Mary Margaret co-founded Wine Unify with the goal of providing mentorship and education for ethnic or racial minorities interested in wine, and “amplifying the voices of the people of color who are already thriving within the wine industry.” And when she’s not teaching or talking about wine, she’s usually drinking it — Mary Margaret’s glass is “usually filled with Burgundy or Champagne.”
