Soon after graduating with a Grand Diplôme in Cuisine and Patisserie from Le Cordon Bleu in London, Michelle landed a job as a pastry chef at London’s Grosvenor House hotel. The creativity and intensity of the culinary world provided a perfect training ground for the world of advertising. Michelle’s career has taken her from Leo Burnett in Chicago to Dailey in West Hollywood, where she was the first female managing partner and president in the agency’s 50-year history.
In 2021, Michelle became the Chief Marketing Officer at Sprinkles, a national bakery known for its handcrafted, premium cupcakes and desserts, that “proudly leverages its platform to support the empowerment of women.” There, Michelle leads all consumer and product marketing, drives product innovation and flavor development. “Sprinkles is truly a brand that walks the talk,” she says. “We partner with emerging brands that are BIPOC and women-owned, highlight the talent and culture from female chefs across the country, and partner with various non-profit organizations that focus on empowering women.”
A changemaker in DEI within creative industries, Michelle has spoken at SXSW, 3% Conference, and ANA. She was honored with a ColorComm Circle award in recognition of her outstanding leadership and mentorship to other women of color in the industry.
