Nathalie Walton

After spending nearly a decade climbing the ranks of Silicon Valley tech giants, Airbnb, Google, and eBay, Nathalie decided to give entrepreneurship a whirl. Her journey began in 2019, when she came across an app, Expectful, while experiencing a traumatic high-risk pregnancy. Her positive user experience eventually led her to an advisory role that quickly blossomed into a CEO and late-stage cofounder role.

After joining Expectful in September 2020, Nathalie closed a $4.2M seed round in her first 90 days on the job. Since then, she has grown Expectful from a meditation and sleep app for pregnancy to a holistic wellness platform for hopeful, expectant new moms with 1600 meditations for fertility, pregnancy, motherhood, and loss, and more than 50 live classes per month, ranging from prenatal yoga and pilates to office hours with midwives, doulas, and lactation consultants.

“I’m grateful to work in a position where I can positively impact women’s lives,” Nathalie says. “I took over Expectful to create a solution for the stress, anxiety, and loneliness that I experienced in pregnancy and postpartum. I’m so grateful that users reach out on a daily basis to thank our team for building an incredible tool for such a vulnerable time.”

Nathalie holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics from Georgetown University. She is a Forbes Next 1000 Entrepreneurs to Watch, and is on the Fast Company Executive Board. Nathalie lives in San Francisco with her husband, Max, and their son, Everett.
