Raina Kumra

Creativity is Raina’s through line. After a decade in the advertising world at agencies Wieden+Kennedy New York, BBH and R/GA., Raina pivoted to business and entrepreneurship, founding Spicewellancient Ayurvedic medicine and modern science-backed pantry essentials – and becoming CEO of Juggernaut, a digital and organizational transformation bureau. “The work I do with corporate clients helps make offices and organizations more human,” she says. “The work I do with Spicewell is helping bring a new norm and paradigm to the way we eat, and what we expect from our packaged goods and pantry essentials.”

She is also an advisor to Google X and a partner at The Fund LA, an early stage venture fund where she leads healthcare and consumer deals. She holds her Series 63 and 82 Licenses for private placement, where she helps climate funds, and she served on the Biden-Harris transition team overseeing US Global Media’s tech strategy. “I get to bring something new into the world, every day, whether digitally or physically,” she says. “It's like getting to be a new mom every day and I love it.”

Raina is also one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business, a member of the Ad Council’s Issue Advisory Board, a mentor at Tech Stars LA, serves on the board of Nix Hydra, and is a senior fellow at USC Annenberg’s Innovation Lab. She previously served in The Obama Administration as co-director of Innovation at the BBG and with the U.S. Department of State. Raina, who is based in Santa Monica, holds degrees from Boston University, NYU’s ITP and the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
