Regina Lawless
With a breadth of HR experience across industries, Regina brings a creative perspective to her work as the Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Instagram and Meta’s Family of Apps (which includes Facebook, Messenger and WhatsApp). Prior to Meta, she served as the Global Director of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion at Micron, leading the creation of their diversity curriculum and spearheading talent initiatives.
Growing up in an underserved community that bordered some of the most affluent zip codes in the country and experiencing inequality firsthand made Regina determined to work toward creating equal opportunity in the workplace and the world. “Since I was a little girl I've valued harmony, freedom and equality,” she says. “I try to uplift and encourage women, especially those who are early in their career. I know how hard it is to be the only person who looks like you in the room.”
Regina is a founding Advisory Council Member of the University of San Francisco’s Engineering Program and was appointed to the World Woman Foundation board in 2021. She is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento in communication studies and holds a master of science degree in Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco. Regina currently resides in the Bay Area with her son and dog, Rocket. She is an avid reader and loves music, podcasts, museums, and travel.
