Shontel Horne
Born in Pensacola, FL and raised in Atlanta, Shontel Horne began her career as a luxury journalist and has since become a writer, producer, and entrepreneur based in Los Angeles and Philadelphia. She is also a leading digital strategist - having worked in television and in new media while maintaining her career as a writer - and helming projects for FOX Broadcasting, L'Oréal, OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, The Africa Channel and the Natural Diamond Council.
“I've been fortunate enough to have a career in different industries, all united by serving an audience. I still get emails about articles I wrote years ago, and I still see executions I launched for brands in use today, so knowing that my work continues to have an impact, in an oversaturated digital landscape, is the most rewarding part of what I do,” says Shontel. ”I like to think I uplift other women by being an open book about what I've accomplished and giving a roadmap. Gatekeeping is incredibly harmful, and the more I share about what I've done and how I've done it, the more other women tend to share what they know for those coming up right behind them. Operating in abundance helps everyone.”
Shontel’s writing has been featured in dozens of outlets like Angeleno, POPSUGAR, HuffPost, Travel Noire, and The Zoe Report. In 2021, she launched a line of wine tasting notebooks called VINOTES and she’s currently working on a wine-centric website called The Wine Notebook.
