Tara Coomans

 

Tara Coomans is a snow skier, scuba diver, and proud poodle owner. She’s also the CEO and founder of Avaans Media, a communications firm specializing in hyper-growth companies and emerging industries like uncrewed vehicles, drones, cannabis and AI. With more than 20 years experience in marketing, PR, and branding, Tara uses her company as a vehicle to show how work can be “satisfying, without sacrificing.”

“As an entrepreneur, not only do I contribute to the growth of our clients, I also get to make an impact on the lives of our team members, by setting up a space for us to do great work,” Tara says.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Tara has served on numerous industry and nonprofit boards, and is a founding member of several grassroots organizations serving tech and environmental communities. The Hall of Femme honoree has taken on the “great privilege” of mentoring others along their leadership and entrepreneurial journey.

“It’s incredibly satisfying to watch women flourish in pursuit of their definition of greatness,” says Tara. “I’m always honored when someone asks me to help them, and always encouraging people to make that ask of someone they admire.
