Tess Taylor

Tess is a former military brat with veteran parents whose needs for opioid-free pain management inspired her cannabis industry journey in 2019. Because Tess’s family bonds over cannabis and food, many of her best kitchen tricks were learned from her maternal grandfather, Jesse James “Granddad” Robinson, who caught a train from Texas to California at 16 in search of a better life and became a top chef in the Navy. His legacy inspired Tess to found Saucy, an elevated, savory-infused condiment brand with Texas roots and healthy ingredients. The products can have two dosage options to be enjoyed by cannabis connoisseurs and the canna-curious alike.

“I am very family oriented, and I believe Saucy products help loved ones gather around the table to talk about the benefits of cannabis,” said Tess. “I also believe that eating well is the best thing we can do for our mental and physical health, so all of our products are vegan, sugar free, and gluten free.”

Tess is a board member of the non-profit and pre-accelerator program Our Academy, and her intersectional team is composed of women, minorities, and LGBTQIA+ folks. Her entire supply chain is BIPOC and/or woman-owned, and she hires diverse creatives, consultants, and chefs for every project. Supporting Saucy supports an entire ecosystem of marginalized folks.

She is also a private educator and repeat founder of the self-funded CBD skincare line, TAYLOR + tess, featured in Forbes, BuzzFeed, MJ Lifestyle, The Everygirl, and Cheddar, and carried at Nordstrom. Though she now lives in Santa Monica, California, Tess is Texas-born and bred and there are few things she loves more than BBQ, weed, and denim.
